Poor Performance in God Of War Ragnarok

Please fix the performance with God Of War Ragnarok. Very Poor and inconsistent performance in this game. As Always with newly launched game Arc GPUs are having problem with them it's now become a trend with Arc GPUs. What is the meaning of buying gpus if that cannot play the game properly when game launched?? Many users and tech enthusiast addressing this issue several times... will it ever be fixed?? how much time i have to wait?? and still hoping for Battlemage to be good also hoping with that this issue should also be fixed by then.

Thanks

CPU: Ryzen 5 5600G

GPU: Arc A770 16GB

Download latest drivers and use Frame Generation Option. Set every graphics setting to Ultra. It plays great above 60fps.

FG is not a permanent solution, and also its not that good visual get hit by it. Where other companies cards with same prices giving above 60FPS without FG then why should i use FG to get that performance?? I paid the same price to get the performance they are getting so it's an issue don't try to hide it with FG or upscaling.

True even with fg the performance is too low on gow ragnarok even 1650 gpu with vram bypass is getting 60fps on high fg. Arc gpu performance is not optimal. Same happened with space marine 2 as well bad drivers update hopefully they will fix it as soon as possible. Hopefully

I disagree guys. GOW (R) runs very good without input latency and with great graphics on 1920x1080 resolution. I am full satisfied with my GPU a770 16GB. The ONLY game that it have problem in the past was Starfield but now it also plays perfect. I don’t want more of a GPU that I buy 280 euros  two years ago.

Intel makes excellent job with drivers support. I am sure that they make better drivers in the near future. But as I said before now GOW is full playable and also it is a great game.

Listen bruh I understand that you are satisfied with the performance. But you just can't deny the fact that GTX 1650 gpu released in 2019 performs better than a 2022 Intel arc gpu in high setting. So Intel clearly need to update their driver for gow(r) performance. You clearly need to see benchmark video of Intel arc gpu on gow (r).and 280 euros might be cheap for you but ain't for alot of people

clown .  my friend's RTX 3050 can even surpass my intel A580 .  At this point we can say that Intel arc is a scam . A multi billion dollar chip company can't even make a driver

Ok my friend let take everything into account. First of all Nvidia 1650 in my country (Greece) costs around 200 euros just now. (Also right now a770 costs 320) they have difference by 120 euro. Additional 1650 has 4GB and a770 has 16GB.
Secondly, in GOW (r) 1650 gives very well only with frame ganeration option and modded DLL file. However, even in case it need to lower graphics details like shaders and shadows to low to play in acceptable fps. Otherwise, in a770 with frame generation On you don’t need to low any graphic setting you can set everything to ultra without problems. Finally, I total agree with you at the point that Intel must release more improve drivers and from my experience with this company as client I believe that they will make it soon.

Listen brother i understand your are satisfied with what you getting and if that the case then be happy and enjoy. But clearly a game that was not made in 2024, GOW (R) was made in 2022 and clearly intel arc gpu should be able to handle a game that with max setting no fg because Intel arc gpu were made in 2022. Intel and everyone on platform clearly stated that intel arc is competitor to rtx 3060 but, clearly you can see 3060 can easily handle this game even with less vram that a770 at better fps without fg and so does a old rusty 1650. They need to update the drivers clearly.btw I would really suggest you to check the benchmarks for intel arc gpu performance on youtube everyone who own these cards are disappointed by there performance on both gow(r) and space marine 2 as well.

I just tested it, man you're right, the performance is really bad, I think it is underutilized since I tried ultra settings with xess ultra performance with FG enabled, the fps can barely reach 60 fps.. And I am not even in the combat yet, just passed through the woods.. Hopefully they fix this as soon as possible. Feels a bit odd seeing 100% GPU activity, 10gb vram used, 2400mhz constant clock but only 150w was drawn. Anyone tried with vkd3d? Can't seem to get it to work so far

Change chess to AMD FSR 3 and also enable frame generation from option above graphics settings.

They included a minor fix in 6077 version that also includes in current 6078 driver version. Right now game is unplayable without FSR3 frame generation BUT is full playable with it. I believe Sony and Intel will work to improve performance with future patches and driver updates.
