Dear Intel Support Team,
I am experiencing consistent crashes when playing certain games on Roblox using my Intel Arc 140V Graphics card. I believe this issue is related to the graphics driver, and I wanted to bring it to your attention in hopes of finding a resolution.
System Specifications:
- GPU: Intel® Arc™ 140V Graphics (8GB)
- Driver Version: 32.0.101.6048
- OS Name: Microsoft Windows 11 Pro
- OS Version: 10.0.26100 N/A Build 26100
- CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) Ultra 7 256V
- RAM: 16Gb 8533 MT/s
- DirectX Version: DirectX 12
Issue Description:
When attempting to play certain games on Roblox—specifically Doors, Dress to Impress, and Death Penalty—the game crashes shortly after launching. This issue does not occur with all Roblox games; only these and a few others are affected.
Observations:
Graphics Memory Misreporting:
- The logs indicate that the Dedicated Video Memory (DedicatedVidMem) is reported as 134217728 bytes (128 MB), whereas my GPU has 8 GB of VRAM.
- Log excerpt:arduinoCopy code[FLog::Output] ESGamePerfMonitor GPU: DedicatedVidMem 134217728 DedicatedSysMem 0 SharedSystemMemory 9534655610
Driver Version and GPU Detection:
- The driver version in use is 32.0.101.6048.
- The GPU is identified correctly by name but seems to have issues with memory detection.
- Log excerpt:cssCopy code[FLog::Output] Studio D3D9 GPU: Intel(R) Arc(TM) 140V Graphics (8GB) [FLog::Output] Studio D3D9 Driver: igd9trinity64.dll 32.0.101.6048
Steps Taken to Resolve the Issue:
Driver Reinstallation:
- Uninstalled the current graphics driver.
- Downloaded and installed the latest driver version from the Intel Download Center.
- Restarted the computer after installation.
Roblox Reinstallation:
- Uninstalled Roblox completely.
- Deleted any remaining Roblox folders in C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Local\Roblox\.
- Downloaded and installed the latest version of Roblox from the official website.
Cache Clearing:
- Cleared all temporary files and cache related to Roblox.
- Deleted the contents of C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Local\Temp\Roblox\.
Compatibility Mode Adjustments:
- Changed compatibility settings for Roblox and the Intel Arc Control application.
- Tried running Roblox in compatibility mode for Windows 8 and Windows 7.
- Adjusted settings within Intel Arc Control to optimize for gaming.
Graphics Settings Modification:
- Lowered in-game graphics quality settings in Roblox.
- Forced Roblox to use the high-performance GPU via Windows Graphics Settings.
System Updates:
- Confirmed that Windows is up to date with the latest updates installed.
Background Applications:
- Disabled overlays (e.g., Discord, Xbox Game Bar) and closed unnecessary background applications.
Additional Information:
Other Games Function Normally:
- Other Roblox games and non-Roblox games run without issues, suggesting the problem is specific to certain Roblox titles and possibly related to advanced rendering features used by those games.
Roblox Support Contacted:
- I have reported this issue to Roblox Support and the Roblox Developer Forums to inform them of the problem from their end.
Conclusion:
Based on the observations and the steps I've taken to troubleshoot, it appears that the issue may stem from how the Intel Arc 140V Graphics driver interacts with certain graphical features in specific Roblox games. The incorrect detection of the GPU's dedicated memory suggests a potential driver-related problem.
I would greatly appreciate any assistance or guidance you can provide to resolve this issue. Please let me know if you require any additional information or if there are any diagnostics I can perform to aid in troubleshooting.
Thank you for your time and support.

Hello RoyalMuffin,
Thank you for posting in Intel community Forum.
For me to further check this, please help provide the following details:
- What is the brand and model of your laptop?
- What is the game launcher?
- If you roll back the driver, are you still having the same issue?
- Before the driver update, the game is working fine?
If you have questions, please let us know. Thank you.
Best regards,
Michael L.

Apologies for the super dalayed response,
- My laptop is the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 15ILL9 - Type 83HM
- The game launcher is the Roblox player from Roblox.com
- I have tried rolling back the drivers and that did not fix it
- No version of the drivers seems to work I have also tried 32.0.101.5728 which is the OEM driver and that did not work
One note:
It seems that forcing roblox using developer flags to render using Direct3D 10 instead of Direct3D 11 stops the crashing

Have run into this issue as well. I had limited luck and managed to get ROBLOX running after installing Intel ARC Control and updating my drivers through there (to 32.0.101.6299) , which worked until I restarted my computer. At a loss, and have done basically everything you've noted there, as well as downloading ROBLOX through the Microsoft Store ( which still has the 32 bit loader? ) which has also not worked.
Thank you for reporting this because I was convinced it was somehow a Hyperion anticheat issue, despite this being a new device
