Unreal Gold fails to launch from Steam client on Linux (Ubuntu 22.04).

- What steps can be followed to replicate the issue?
- Is Resizable BAR enabled in Bios?

- What steps can be followed to replicate the issue?
- Install Steam on Linux, enable Steam Play compatibility layer in Setting, install Unreal Gold -> launch Unreal Gold
- Is Resizable BAR enabled in Bios?
- YES - if have also tried disabling it but no difference

We are still researching this issue. We noticed that on the log file from the Intel® System Support Utility that you shared with us, the Intel® Arc™ GPU model is not specified. Could you please let us know the specific model or models that you have tested so far?

I can now confirm that Unreal Gold via Steam Play compatibility layer on Ubuntu 22.04 is working fine with both D3D and OpenGL renderer.
Most likely was the problem related to the installation itself or possibly a more recent version of Proton resolved the problem.
Note that I have now uninstalled the DKMS modules:
sudo apt-get remove intel-platform-vsec-dkms intel-platform-cse-dkms sudo apt-get remove intel-i915-dkms
And running "vanilla" Mesa 22.3.4 drivers:
