Hello,
In a other thread i reported boot problems with a Asus monitor VG249QM1A
Asus is saying that the boot problems are caused by the Intel card protocols.
If this is truth then my question to Intel is what monitors can i use with the Intel card?
I am now in the process that i maybe get my money back from the shop where i bought the Asus monitor.
I am looking for a different monitor a MSI Optix MAG274QRF-QD - 27 or LG UltraGear 27GP850P-B 27 do these 2 monitors work with the Intel card without getting boot problems?
In the other thread Intel is saying that we cannot guarantee full compatibility with every piece of hardware in the market, i have a problem with a monitor from Asus, should not all new monitors work with all video cards?
Best regards,
Erwin

I already expected this, the boot problems mainly occur with Asus monitors.
Other people also have boot problems all with an Asus monitor.
I have a Asus VG249QM1A monitor.

Hello Erwin06,
Thanks for waiting for a response.
After investigating this matter, we can affirm that Intel® Arc™ graphics should work correctly with monitors that support EDID 1.4 or higher, according to VESA standards. However, Intel cannot guarantee that every device will work flawlessly, as compatibility issues may arise in rare cases. Although we do not have a list of tested displays, please don't hesitate to contact us if you have concerns about a specific make and model.
Currently, we have no record of an issue with the 27GP850P or MAG274QRF.
Best regards,
Jean O.

Hello Jean,
Because of the many reports with Asus monitors having boot problems with a Intel card Asus is a rare case?
I returned the Asus VG249QM1A to Asus for a RMA, but they send me a bad one back so i have to send this 1 back to Asus again. The shop doesnt give me my money back.
I dont know why Asus monitors having boot problems with a Intel card or if this can be fixed, if this cant be fixed and i get my monitor back from Asus RMA and i still have boot problems i by a new monitor.
I dont know if a new Firmware for the A770 wil fix this boot problem.
My Intel card A770 is also still in RMA.
Best Regards,
Erwin

I watch a video where the owner unplugged the monitor from the wall and from the back from power. Waited one minute, plugged the power back in, plugged the cable to the card, powered the computer, then the monitor. It's supposed to power cycle the monitor. It all worked for my Asus 24 that wouldn't turn on.

Hello Erwin06,
We want to let you know that Intel collaborates closely with Asus in addressing compatibility concerns, and future firmware updates might address some. Unfortunately, we are unable to commit to any time frame or particular outcome.
We suggest trying a different monitor and reporting back once you receive the replacement for your Intel® Arc™ A770 card.
Lorvar, thanks for sharing your experience and sharing the recommendations.
Best regards,
Jean O.
