This is a continuation of the initial X-Plane 12 error thread (linked here). Despite many people on this thread reporting that the latest drivers and versions of X-Plane 12 have worked on their devices, a few people (such as @Jotamax and myself) have still had the issues despite the latest drivers.
I have tried the following steps to resolve the error with no luck:
- Install the latest drivers (I've tried all driver versions since the "fixed" one from the initial thread was reported)
- Some notable versions I tried (links and versions correspond to messages in the initial thread):
- 101.5186, the initial version that was reported to be "fixed" with no luck.
- 101.5522; I was able to install X-Plane 12 on my laptop (an 11th gen CPU/iGPU laptop) but was unable to run it due to the same error (I ensured that I was using the 12.1.0 beta for X-Plane). My desktop with a 12th gen CPU and arc A750 remained unfixed, with me being unable to install X-Plane 12 at all.
- 101.5534 was reported by @gakki to be the only working version, with them claiming that later versions did not work. However, I got the same results with my desktop as 101.5522, and I have not checked my laptop regarding X-Plane 12 since then (I will do so in a later post).
- 101.5592; @Jotamax was able to install X-Plane 12 on his desktop but was unable to run it due to the same error, just like what I experienced on my laptop with version 101.5522. I tried this version with no luck, getting the exact same issue as I always have gotten.
- 101.5762 is the latest version, but the error remains the same as it always has.
- A clean install of the drivers using the "clean install" option in the regular driver installer as well as with DDU with no luck (each of these has been done on a few separate versions).
- A clean install of X-Plane 12 has been attempted by me for every single driver version with no luck (except as mentioned regarding my laptop on 101.5522.
- A clean reinstall of Windows 11 has been done at least once since 101.5186 was released.
- Running the X-Plane installer with admin permissions with no luck.
I think that's about everything I've tried so far. The error log as well as the error screenshot is linked below. Sorry about the big blob of text up here, I just wanted to get everything out of the way.
Thanks in advance,
Geek

101.5768 is working great for me. If anyone else has issues, be sure to try this version. I'll mark this as the solution for now. Thanks to the development teams that made it work!

The explanation you mentioned in this new thread is exactly what happened since the beginning of the previous thread.
I don't know exactly what the INTEL people have done but at the end of all this time the error continues after about I don't know how many driver updates, in fact the video card in question is already discontinued and there is no solution.
Regards everyone and thanks Geek

Hello, @aGEEKdude and @Jotamax ,
Thank you for patiently waiting on our response.
Upon further research, this error can be mitigated only in the beta version of the game (12.1.0). We have also published a support article, X-Plane 12* Cannot Start on Intel® Graphics. Please try to update to this beta: http://www.x-plane.com/kb/using-x-plane-betas.
As much as we would like to help you further, we have no information why the fix is not available on the public versions. Please reach out to the X-Plane 12 developers to check if they have an ETA or if they are planning to implement the fix from the beta version to the public release.
Thank you so much for your understanding.
Best regards,
Andre C.

Howdy ya'll, sorry that I haven't responded. I've been out traveling, but I just got back and tried the latest driver (101.5768) and I've been able to start the installer at last. I'll post an update once the game is fully installed. @Jotamax Try out this version and let me know how it goes.
