SO here is a question I have , In 30 years it has never been an issue with a video card but hear me out.
system spec
12700k cpu
rog690hero motherboard with new realtech codec
arc 770 16gb
Steel series engine audio driver
sonic driver for audio
sonar motherboard driver
realtech onboard audio driver
intel noise canceling audi driver
intel audio drivers
This is a video editing rig not a gaming pc. It does a fantastic job with av1 converted files. Just fabulous.. cant encode h265... in 2023 . Im not sure why intel did this codec thing. If I already have a intel cpu and uhd770 drivers why did you repeat the same thing wheres my h265 encode. Still becomes issues with some fx processing with gpu in davinci resolve. The AVI presence of a file makes the system crash in a video edit scenario. Just reading it. anyways I'm not trying to complain I'm trying to figure out if it is best to buy a arc 770 with a AMD ryzen system because with the same uhd drivers on the cpu as the video card seems to drive my system nuts.
Every time I get an update, I have to do manually anymore , automattic fails to find intel for some reason. It reinstalls my audio drivers and sets them to intel as the default. Does anyone know of a way to block the changing of audio changes to system with a video card update. Why is a video card changing this anyways? in 30 years this has never been an issue. As you guys can see with running steel series engine I already divided up all my inputs and outputs to be assign to pre determined actions.
this intel stuff is conflicting with my motherboard realtec it is a higher version than the one intel is forcing. This is like self distruct hardware and drivers.
I guess some gamers wouldnt mind. they only have a set of speakers and or a headset. Only got a couple of things swapping around. My first thought is well thats because i am installing clean... each update. but the arc control doesnt work, and tech support told me to always do a clean update install whql. So thats my quandry . But besides hdmi output what do you have to do with the audio anyways. I actually have a motherboard in this case too. and its analog is better than intel i payed good money for it.

Hello 12PointProductions,
Thank you for posting in the Intel Communities. We understand that you are facing multiple issues with your Intel Arc system as mentioned in A770. However, we suggest that you submit one thread per issue to keep the topics organized and prevent confusion among other users. We will continue to assist you with the issue you face while using Davinci Resolve, and we invite you to open another thread to continue assisting you on your other issues.
To better assist you with the problem affecting the Davinci Resolve software, please provide us with the following:
- Is the Davinci Resolve crashing when editing a video? If so, does it occur when using a particular setting?
- If possible, share with us a video showing the behavior of your issue.
- When did the issue start?
- Was there another graphics card in your system before you installed the Intel Arc A770?
- What is your Intel Arc A770 graphic card model? (Limited Edition, Acer, AsRock, Sparkle, Gunnir, etc.)
- To have more details about your system, please share with us a system report gathered by the Intel
System Support Utility (Intel SSU) - Download the Intel SSU
- Open the application and click on "Scan" to see the system and device information. By default, Intel
SSU will take you to the "Summary View." - Click on the menu where it says: "Summary" to change it to "Detailed View."
- To save your scan: click on "Next"; then "Save."
Best regards

No need for itemized feedback . I'm not a rma department. I threw arc 770 16gb as rock phantom in the trash. The card I received was a r&d unit . Software wasn't ready for charging for a product to a consumer yet. So you can spend the time rearranging the issues . Ripped out video card using just cpu . It Is way better than the arc incompleteness.
Won't be back. Very short coming for a mature company to put this drama on its customers. They should have noted on the box intended use is r&d at customers cost and time separating all the issues inseperate chat groups. Like intel doesn't know of the issues or the support doesn't understand what is in their own product as far as hardware and codecs. This could be an issue.
The same effort put into understand what the customer was saying about your product and interpreting it as an actual workable subject. Shows a continuation of the logic pertained to the arc line of cards released in such a feeble attempt to collect money , staff don't understand what is being said with nomenclature of their own product, and deterring the subject as to ask for not needed information Is a disgrace to intel.
Since u asked me to detail all my information why doesn't intel use error reporting and information feedback monitoring on my machine?
Answering the question why is intel changing my audio settings was the only question.
Now it doesn't matter a week later it's already polluting a landfil.
