bugcheck error BSOD

this is just a note or subject on the side nothing i need specific help with but for Intel employees and/or users of their Arc cards (like myself) to investigate or keep an eye out.

i caught my very first BSOD error with a bug check code hinting at the Arc driver.
or more specifically an older driver version 32.0.101.6083/32.0.101.5736

the bugcheck code in question i received is as follows: 0x00000116

the game i played was CarX Street (open world/racing & drifting game)
i had been playing this game on and off over the course of 2 months and never had any issues prior to today.

Right now i have no clue other then an outdated driver version that might've caused it to crash?
im updating the Arc driver to the latest version now and i will keep this post semi-alive and post back if i the same error code returns with the newest driver(s).

if anyone has question i will try to answer them the best i can.

EDIT 29/10/2024:
Newest driver is installed.
Received the same BSOD error whilst playing Phasmophobia.
the error is yet again, hinting at the driver being bad or corrupted?

reacting to my own post:
after some other checks i've done to try and stress the card, i came to the conclusion that my card (A770 16GB Acer Bifrost) was overheating.

i took it upon myself to tear the card down to its bare PCB and investigate if any thermal paste was present on both the vapor chamber (Acer's designed cooling solution) and the GPU-die.

i have taken photo's which clearly show the bare minimum of thermal paste and i was more then shocked.

honestly i have no clue how my card survived its longevity up till this point. but boy am i glad i caught this early.

i reapplied new thermal paste, put the card back together and in my system again, low and behold....
no more overheating, no more BSOD errors.
