english:
hello. i'm thinking buying intel arc b580 le. great gpu for price/performance. i was used arc a750 le. only problem was idle state power usage. i was have different motherboard and it supports aspm setting from uefi-bios. lost of people sayed arc a750's power management is not stable. but they said next battlemage series will fix this. battlemage released and idle power usage is good with aspm. and it's stable like when they said.
now my motherboard is colorful b760m t pro v20. nice motherboard for price performance. but not support aspm setting from uefi-bios. i'm contacted manufacturer support mail they are said "we are not planning add aspm function next biosses"
second problem intel management engine firmware. i readed changelog for last 16.1.35.2557 version. i'm readed "aspm disabled for security reason". i'm using this management engine firmware.
can i activate aspm from non-uefi-bios area ? or i must modding my bios-uefi ? (dangerous)
turkish:
merhaba. arc b580 le satın almayı düşünüyorum. fiyat/performans açısından gayet güzel bir gpu. daha önce arc a750 le kullandım. tek problem bekleme/boş modunda yüksek güç tüketimiydi. aspm yi ozamanki anakartım destekliyordu. denedim. stabil değildi. ozaman bilgili kullanıcılar bunun mevcut alchemist mimarisinde sıkıntılı olduğunu fakat battlemage serisinde düzeleceğini söylemişlerdi. öylede oldu.
şimdi anakartım "colorful b760m t pro v20". fiyat/performans için güzel anakart. ancak pci-aspm ayarı biosta desteklenmiyor. colorful destek ile bağlantıya geçtim. anakartlara aspm desteği vermeyi düşünmüyoruz dediler. bununla birlikte kullandığım management engine firmware'i 16.1.35.2557 versiyonu. loglarını okudum. güvenlik sebebiyle aspm iptal edildi diyor. buda ayrı bir konu.
aspm'yi uefi-bios dışında bir yerlerden aktive edebilir miyim. ? yoksa bios-uefi yi modlamam mı gerekiyor ? ( ki tehlikeli bir iş )

...you're absolutely right that ASPM plays a critical role in idle power efficiency, and with the improvements seen in the Battlemage for Arc B580 LE series. unfortunately, if your motherboard’s UEFI/BIOS such as the Colorful B760M T PRO V20 does not support ASPM, and the manufacturer has confirmed there are no plans to add it in future updates, then ASPM cannot be enabled through conventional means. There is currently no supported method to enable ASPM from outside the UEFI/BIOS such as via software in the operating system or through Intel ME firmware especially when it has been explicitly disabled for security reasons as you've correctly noted in the changelog of version 16.1.35.2557. While it’s technically possible to modify BIOS firmware to attempt enabling unsupported features like ASPM, it is, as you said, high-risk and not recommended unless you have in-depth experience with firmware engineering. Modding the BIOS could void your motherboard warranty, permanently brick your motherboard and introduce system instability or security vulnerabilities.
If ASPM and power efficiency are important to you, and you want full compatibility with Arc GPUs, consider a board that officially supports ASPM in its UEFI/BIOS. Many mid- to high-tier boards from ASUS, Gigabyte, or ASRock offer explicit ASPM control.

Thanks for reply TheExpertGuy.
My motherboard good for its cheap price. I can modify my cpus PL1 and PL2 watt limits from uefi-bios. They are released last bios version. Not added microcode 12C but added "dma control guarantee" option to bios. I think this option releated with forcing dma security enhance. I can't understand this good motheboard ( not best but nice for its price ) why not adding simple ASPM option to bios. May be intel their first supplier. Can intel negotate this situation with colorful company. Board is cheapest. (But not worst) If i sell it its price will be more poor. Motherboards default PL2 limit ~250 w. my i5-13600k with this pl2 easily hit 100c heat. cpu throtling. when i set 13600k default pl2 like ~181w there is no throtling. i'm using very good scythe air cooler ( may be its best or second best ). arctic mx-6 paste and contact frame. i'm happy with 181w pl2 setting. if i'm select other low-mid tier b760 motherboard i'm not know can i set pl1 and pl2 watts. If possible intel's needed department can contact colorful company ? when the situtation fixed their board will be near excellent. secondly i cant understand intel arc's power management totaly related with ASPM. when first ryzen 1700 released not perfect for all software but i was see next capasity. ( their first release samples bugy for speacialy for linux software compilation process. when cpu all core %100 process broken randomly. they are fixed this next ryzen 1700s with little performance degration ) they be great now. i can say this "this arc gpus have great potentional. next samples will be king or kings best alternative" when this done may be intel add player to game console area.
if i'm remember true i'm contacted msi. when i'm using arc a770 i'm modified bios with expert support. after this msi released new bios with aspm option. i cant use stable gpu with aspm but i was try aspm. i think i can say little lie to colorful depertment i added aspm option to uefi. lol
