resetting the video card frequency to 400 MHz
happens during the game, perhaps it happens because of the temperature limit, but even so, the frequency reset should not be to the minimum, but smooth!
the screenshot on the left shows the game running, on the right is monitoring in IGS. this also became noticeable when the FPS in the game dropped and returned to the previous level after spending some time in the game menu (the menu consumes fewer resources, so apparently the temperature drops) I have not tested this theory yet

Hi Raifart,
Thank you for posting in the Community.
To better assist you, could you please provide the following information?
System Information:
- Could you confirm the make and model of your video card and the operating system version you are using? This will help us understand your setup and identify any compatibility issues.
Troubleshooting Steps:
- Have you tried any specific troubleshooting steps to address the frequency reset issue? For example, adjusting cooling settings or checking for driver updates? Your insights into what you've already attempted will be invaluable.
Temperature Monitoring:
- You mentioned that the frequency reset might be related to temperature limits. Have you monitored the GPU temperature during gameplay, and if so, could you share any observations? Understanding the temperature dynamics can help us pinpoint the cause.
Issue Timeline:
- When did this issue first start occurring? Knowing the timeline can help us identify any potential triggers or changes.
Recent Changes:
- Have there been any recent changes to your system, such as hardware upgrades, software installations, or updates? These changes might be relevant to the issue.
Additionally, I recommend downloading and running the Intel System Support Utility (SSU) from here. Generating a report and attaching it to your response will provide us with detailed information about your system configuration and help us diagnose the issue more effectively.
Your cooperation in providing this information is greatly appreciated and will help us expedite the troubleshooting process. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please feel free to reach out.
Best regards,

Hi, Dean
System information:
Video card B 580
Processor AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core Processor 4.00 GHz
RAM 48.0 GB
System type 64-bit operating system
Release Windows 10 Pro
Version 22H2
Installation date 02/19/2025
OS build 19045.5487
Interaction Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.19061.1000.0
Troubleshooting steps:
I tried different things, without overclocking the video card seems to work the same,
the driver was reinstalled, now the latest one is installed,
Temperature monitoring:
It turned out that this has nothing to do with the temperature limit, I checked and it turned out that the frequency is reset despite the fact that the temperature is 45 C degrees
Problem chronology:
It's hard to say when exactly it appeared or after what action, maybe after I tried to tweak the overclocking settings (however, I achieved stable operation so that there were no crashes and then reduced these settings). and it's even more likely that it started after I tried to adjust vertical sync in IGS on the screenshot!
Recent changes:
- "Have there been any recent changes to your system, such as hardware upgrades, software installations, or updates?"
- No, there were no changes
The link to (SSU) led to the driver page, by the way, a new version was released today, I'll try a CLEAN installation.

Hi Raifart,
Based on your observations, it seems the frequency reset issue is not related to temperature limits, which is helpful to know. Since you mentioned a new driver version was released today, performing a clean installation could be a promising next step. This process can help resolve any underlying driver conflicts or settings that might be affecting performance.
Please go ahead with the clean installation of the new driver version. Once completed, monitor the system's performance during gameplay and let me know if the frequency reset issue persists or if there are any improvements.

after installing the new driver, the problem seems to have gone away, although once the video card also dropped the frequencies, but this does not happen constantly.
I now have another question about displaying FPS in monitoring
1 screen - when polling once every 50 ms >>> 2 screen - the displayed FPS is incorrect.
but it changes if you change the polling time 3 screen >>> 4 screen

Hi Raifart,
I'm glad to hear that your initial issue was resolved with the new driver update. To clarify the difference in FPS metrics: the 95th percentile FPS represents the frame rate achieved or exceeded by 95% of the frames during gameplay or benchmarking, meaning only the slowest 5% of frames fall below this value. In contrast, the presented FPS is the frame rate displayed to the user, which may be influenced by the game engine or display settings. This metric might not always accurately reflect the true underlying frame rate due to factors such as frame rate capping or variable rendering times.
Additionally, the reason the value changes when you adjust the polling is that you're setting the frequency at which the presented FPS is updated. This means the displayed frame rate is influenced by the polling interval you choose. Please let me know if you need further clarification on this.

The problem is that it is impossible to configure IGS to correctly display FPS, regardless of what I choose, "average", "maximum" or other parameters!
