very high temperature 90 degrees Intel Arc A770

I'm David, There is a problem with the temperature of the Intel Arc A770 graphics card, it gets 90 degrees, I think the problem is in the drivers, they should correct that temperature and the fans should work faster to lower that temperature, that is, when I play DX11 or DX12 it gets 90 degrees, if I play DX10 70 degrees there is something, I think the intel driver engineers should correct the temperature at least 65 to 70 degrees, check the source and it is well connected etc and it gives power try changing the source and the same remains the same source I have is Corsair RM850, I need to report anyway

Thank you for posting on the Intel Communities. I am sorry you are experiencing high temperatures with your Intel® Arc™ A770 Graphics.


Please note that 90C is still considered under GPU parameters, if it does no exceeds these temperatures this might not be an overheating issue, however, please let us know the following information so we can check the behavior of the system:


  • Are you using the latest driver version 31.0.101.4335?
  • Are the fans spinning over 1200RPM when gaming? If possible share a video of the issue while having the Intel® Arc™ Software overlay open so we can check the behavior.
  • Have the temperatures gone over 90C while gaming on the system?

I use version 4314, the VRAM temperature reaches 92 degrees in cyberpunk 2077 and red dead redemption 2

Thank you for letting us know. Please let's update the driver to the latest version 31.0.101.4335.


Also, we are missing a very important piece of information from my previous post and that is whether the fans are spinning over 1200RPM. If possible share a video while playing the games that overheat the GPU while at the same time having the Intel® Arc™ Software overlay so we can take a look at the temperatures and the behavior of the GPU in general.

Before closing this case we wanted to recommend to you if you are still experiencing this issue, disable any overclocking setting from Intel® Arc™ Control, you can do this by clicking on the reset to defaults button on the performance tab.


If you still want us to research this issue, let us know the information requested in my previous posts as well as the report from Intel Graphics Command Center.

Good morning,

 

I'm David, Overclock is not done when I play cyberpunk 2077 and far cry 6 93 degrees of VRAM, Red Dead Redemption 90 degrees VRAM, The graphics is not overclocked, I know that the drivers need to be improved and correct the problem so which I want to report and I am still experiencing that temperature, I checked the cables and it is connected well and the source is Corsair RM850 80 Plus Gold Modular

Thank you for the information. There is a known issue at the moment in which the fans can get stuck at 1200RPM if you use any of the options in the performance, we would still advise that you reset parameters to defaults and test if the issue persists.


We are still missing the report for the Intel Graphics Command Center requested in my previous posts.

I just reset and it's still the same 90 degree red dead redemption 2 VRAM and Far Cry 6 94 degree and it's still the same and I've reset and it's still the same I want to report please

Are CyberPunk 2077 and Red Dead Redemption 2 the only games getting the GPU to those temperatures? We would appreciate it if you could provide the information requested in my previous posts so we can further assist with this issue. We would need a video of the game with the Intel® Arc™ Control Overlay enabled so we can check the system behavior and we also need the report from Intel Graphics Command Center.

Well, there are 4 games that reach 90 to 94 degrees of VRAM, that is, Cyberpunk 2077 93 degrees VRAM, Red Dead Redemption 2 90 degrees VRAM, Far Cry 6 94 degrees VRAM, Assassin's Creed Valhalla 92 degrees VRAM, I wanted to request improvements to that temperature and the fans turn a little faster, I'm still waiting for DX12 Red Dead Redemption 2 to be corrected by the engineers drivers intel lance drivers, GPU temperature Red Dead Redemption 2 86 to 87 degrees, the other games increase too much, you must improve the problem, What It would be DX12 RDR2 that I am pending and also a fan problem, that is, VRAM temperature

 

The only problem is that I don't have a video or a photo, when that temperature reaches me, only 1 game is worth, for example, far cry 6 that reaches VRAM 94 degrees, red dead 2 90 degrees VRAM, I'll send you a photo, but just sending you a video is enough, regards

Hallo,

Ich habe auch das Problem, dass meine Karte mit dem VRAM/GPU zu heiß wird. Ein 228W Powerlimit kann ich nicht nutzen, sonst werden die Temperaturen in jedem Spiel zu hoch und die Karte fängt an zu drosseln. Lüfter rotieren mit eigener Lüfterkurve >1200-2200, da das Firmware-Update aufgrund des 1200 U/min-Bugs noch nicht verfügbar ist!

Ich habe eine Vermutung

 

1. Schlechte Wärmeleitpaste, zu **bleep** und keine Qualität

2. Wärmeleitpads haben keinen ausreichenden Druck auf die VRAM-Chips (siehe Foto)

Thank you for posting. Please check the temperatures while having the card in stock settings with no overclock settings configured if the temperatures are under 90C this is still under parameters. If temperatures go over 90C and the fans are spinning over 1200RPM, let us know the scenarios in which the issue happens whether a game, app, or while idle. If possible share a video with the Intel® Arc™ Control Software opened so we can check the GPU behavior.

Hello, I have tested and the temperatures in the memory are over 90 degrees. See Valheim screen.

In order to further assist with this issue we will need to check the GPU behavior and whether or not the fans are working as they should. We would appreciate it if you could share with us a short video with the Intel® Arc™ Control Software Overlay opened, so we can check the GPU, frequency, load, temperatures, and fan speed.


Also, our latest driver release version 31.0.101.4369 add the feature for Fan Control and Fan Curve functionality, I would advise updating to the latest version and trying the Fan control feature to reduce temperatures.

I have updated the driver to the latest version 31.0.101.4369, the fans are automatic, check the source and it is well connected and it is a corsair RM850 Modular 80 Plus Gold power supply, so it is rare that 92 degrees does not jerk at any time I know how it goes

Good evening, I'm David, Let's see, I tried with the fan curves and the high temperature VRAM is still the same, I left it at the default value, The fan issue in the box I have 3 fans that expel the heat and another 3 that the heatsink puts in is Corsair A500 two fans, one that goes in and one that comes out. Let's see, I know that at 100 degrees the GPU would put the fans at 100% but since that is not my case, my case is 92 degrees, so I don't know if I should worry or no, it doesn't have dust, it's new and I've been using the Arc A770 16GB GPU for 7 months, I'll send you a video and I want to report, since when the kinematics jump it goes down 85 and 86 degrees and then it goes up again 92 degrees VRAM and the GPU temperature goes to 90 degrees , no graphics card that I have had before, which would be NVIDIA GTX 1060 6GB, that graphics card never took that temperature for me, that was to change the graphics card, the Intel Arc design is not enough of a heatsink, which is why to lower that temperature it must be more robust and slightly larger fans and quality thermal paste, as I have this problem, you should notify superior and say hey, look, we'll send you a new one to see if it continues to happen or not, if it continues to happen you must return the money
