Hi,
I am considering to select a drone development platform for our lab.The support for LTE communication is an important feature.
I've found some description about it in the https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLTQSXsG86pGfyZm5ac6-ZtQsEniUJIE9o Autonomous Drone Engineer Course - YouTube .
It's said that "Intel Aero board has Wifi included and can accept m.2 professional LTE modems".
Is that mean we don't need to mount extra Wifi and LTE Module? Would you please introduce that for me?
Thank you very much!
Xiaoxing

Hello SophiaFang,
Thank you for your interest in the Intel® Aero Compute Board.
The Aero Compute Board has an Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260; 802.11ac, 2x2 MIMO Wi-Fi + Bluetooth adapter, so you don't need an extra module.
Currently, the Intel Aero board doesn't support LTE communication, but it may support an external device in the future (the device will most likely work via USB).
As you can see in the following link: https://software.intel.com/sites/default/files/managed/25/d5/Intel-Aero-Compute-Board-Getting-Starte..., R means "RESERVED for future use". We don't have information available about those parts right now.
You can find the board's specifications here: https://software.intel.com/en-us/aero/dev-kit.
If you have any other question, don't hesitate to contact us.
Have a nice day.
Regards,
Andres V.
