Capturing images & Streaming videos through CSI-2 interface

Hello,

I want to understand the flow of the sample program https://github.com/intel-aero/sample-apps GitHub - intel-aero/sample-apps: This repository will contain source code for sample applications given for capturing images and videos using MIPI CSI-2 camera, not the real sense one.

Can I use some simulation online to understand the flow, or how should I proceed. I can directly use the code, but I need to understand how it works.

Kindly help me in this matter.

Thanks & regards,

Dheeraj Chaudhary

Hi Dheeraj,

Unfortunately there is no software simulator or similar tool to run the example codes. The codes are shared in GitHub so that the users can access them and see how they work, but details about the flow of the process are not available and it's up to users to understand, modify and use them for their custom applications.

The codes of the examples are available under the /capturev4l2 directory. They are structured in different methods for different tasks. My recommendation for you is to check and try to understand one method at a time. This way you can split the overall process in small parts and see how they are connected to each other.

Hii,

So I was flashing .iso image version 1.5.1 on aero board. I tried this command: aero-reboot-update.py but it showed that command not found. Then I tried these commands one by one:

mkdir -p /tmp/{iso,newroot}

mount -o ro /dev/sda1 /tmp/iso

mount -o loop,ro /tmp/iso/rootfs.img /tmp/newroot

/tmp/newroot/usr/sbin/aero-reboot-update.py

After the 4th command, it showed some error like: Error in import argparse: No module named argparse.

How to rectify this error.

Regards,

Dheeraj

Hi Dheeraj,

This error has been reported before. Please check the following thread for details:

The issue is because the package argparse is not recognized in the Python script. According to the previous thread, the issue was solved by installing the package in the Aero compute board. You can get the package from this site: https://pypi.python.org/pypi/argparse https://pypi.python.org/pypi/argparse

Try to install it and let me know if the issue is fixed.

Hi Diego V.,

I have fixed the problem. Actually the USB which I was using, was not mounted. So I mounted it first and then restarted Intel Aero. This time I got the option of Boot Manager, where I selected the option of booting from USB and yes, I successfully updated the new version 1.5.1.

Thanks & Regards,

Dheeraj
