Connecting a Lidar Lite V3 to "TELEMETRY" port of the Aero RTF

Jump to solution

Hi,

I want to use a Lidar Lite V3 with Aero RTF.

According to the following guide, I need to connecting a Lidar Lite V3 to "TELEMETRY" port.

https://docs.px4.io/en/flight_controller/intel_aero.html https://docs.px4.io/en/flight_controller/intel_aero.html

However, I don't know the connector(cable) that can connect to that port.

What's the name of that connector? Where can I buy it?

Thank you

Hi, tsurudyne

The connector name for the telemetry port on the Aero RTF drone is a 6 pin JST SH connector.

Alexandra

Hi, Alexandra

Thank you very much for quick response.

I'll try to get the connector and develop Aero RTF.

Best regards,

I just bought JST SH connectors and they don't fit (too small) the connectors on the enclosure box of the RTF drone.

JST SH pins are 1mm apart. The connector pins on the board are 1.25mm apart. It's either a DF13 connector (as suggested here: http://www.instructables.com/id/Intel-Aero-Drone-Altitude-and-Position-Hold-Using-/ Intel Aero Drone - Altitude and Position Hold Using PX4Flow ) or molex picoblade.

Hi Coline,

Can you send me a picture of your set-up and the connectors?

There are two types of JST-SH 6 pin connectors - female and male. Which one do you have?

Please find the pictures attached.

The connector in the middle is the only one that fits in the Telem port. I got it with the PX4Flow sensor and I believe it is a Molex Picoblade. The DF13 does not fit (the distance between pins is correct but the shape is wrong). I found this website to be useful : https://www.lambdrive.com/depot/Robotics/Controller/PixhawkFamily/Connector/index.html Connector for Pixhawk Family of Flight Controllers - LambDrive.com

Hello Coline,

You can use the Molex, if it fits.
