I installed docker-ros on intel Aero RTF recently referring this link: https://github.com/intel-aero/meta-intel-aero/wiki/08-Aero-Network-and-System-Administration# sysadmin-docker-ros 08 Aero Network and System Administration · intel-aero/meta-intel-aero Wiki · GitHub
but when I try to copy RGB image to my computer for display using this command : scp left00* myname@myip:~/ , here comes this error: the file left00* does not exist. and i can see the topic /camera/color/image_raw in my topic list but still no left* file .Why?
in addition, can I get images from the VGA(down-facing camera) and 8MP camera in docker-ros as i am used to. for example, using rosbag to collect data from these cameras?
I was following the guide you mentioned and I am not able to see the left00* files either. Let me check with the engineering team to see if this guide is up to date.
In the meantime, we have instruction on how to install Ubuntu and ROS Kinetic on Aero. Have you tried that guide?
Yes. I have been informed that there is a instruction on how to install Ubuntu and ROS Kinetic on Aero. But, as I know, optical flow is supported on yocto 1.6 only for now. So I have to stay with yocto for now if i want optical flow today. Right?
Can I have some method to use optical flow with Ubuntu?
Yes, at the moment optical flow can only be used with Yocto. Can you please provide me the output of rostopic list?
I was able to see the left* files created with this command:
rosrun image_view image_saver image:=/camera/rgb/image_raw
At first my camera was not shown as the topics but after running the RealSense node it showed up but not under "color".
roslaunch realsense_camera r200_nodelet_rgbd.launch &
