For indoor navigation: LeddarOne vs PX4Flow

Hello,

We're trying to understand what is the best sensor between LeddarOne and PX4Flow for indoor navigation in order for our aero RTF to hold altitude.

LeddarOne seems to be a popular option for a range finder, however, I haven't still seen an indoor aero setup working with this sensor. Nonetheless, there a few demos on indoor aero with PX4Flow.

We've already bought LidarLite v3 in the past, before we realised that the amount of erroneous data spikes made the navigation erratic and not safe.

Regards,

Victor

Hi VictorDrone,

Thank you for your interest in the Intel Aero Ready to Fly Drone.

The LeddarOne is the recommended rangefinder for the Aero drone. You can find more information on how to connect it in the link below:

https://docs.px4.io/en/flight_controller/intel_aero.html# leddarone

You can also check this project with PX4Flow:

Thanks Alexandra,

But have you tested or have reports that LeddarOne works indoors?

Previously, we bought LidarLite v3 recommended by the intel aero team but it didn't work in the end.
