Forcing an update to aero-bios-01.00.16

Jump to solution

I accidentally ran aero-bios-update on my ubuntu setup, and it downgraded the bios to aero-bios-01.00.13, now nothing I do will get the bios back to aero-bios-01.00.16.

$ uname -a

Linux Aero 4.4.76-aero-1.2 # 1 SMP PREEMPT Thu Dec 21 09:55:38 UTC 2017 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

$ sudo aero-get-version.py

BIOS_VERSION = Aero-01.00.13

OS_VERSION = Ubuntu 16.04.5 LTS"

AIRMAP_VERSION = unknown

FPGA_VERSION = 0xff

AeroFC firmware version = unknown

Is there a way to force a bios update?

I would prefer not to have erase my ubuntu and go back tp yocto.

Thanks Eliza,

I followed the instructions in that thread with a couple modifications outlined below, and now I am back up and running: This has saved me alot of time. THANKS!!!

sudo aero-get-version.py now leads to the following:

BIOS_VERSION = Aero-01.00.16

OS_VERSION = Ubuntu 16.04.5 LTS"

AIRMAP_VERSION = unknown

FPGA_VERSION = 0xff

AeroFC firmware version = unknown
