Ground station setup without px4 direct to aero

Hi there,

I'm trying to work out how to send commands to and view the rviz output from my intel aero compute board without using the px4, instead with a custom flight controller in Nucleo stm32 board.

 

What is the best way to do this?

I've seen Mavros mentioned, and im assuming QGroundcontrol only works with px4.

All I know is that I should be connecting via the wifi so any help goes a long way, thanks.

Hi jmens4, Thank you for your interest in the Intel Aero Compute Board. We have a guide to connect a Pixhawk flight controller to the Intel Aero Compute Board but it should work with any flight controller with a UART interface. https://github.com/intel-aero/meta-intel-aero/wiki/Connecting-an-External-Flight-Controller We also have the Autonomous drone programming with ROS guide that talks about RVIZ: https://github.com/intel-aero/meta-intel-aero/wiki/05-Autonomous-drone-programming-with-ROS Hope this points you in the right direction.
