Replacing GPS post

Jump to solution

Hello,

I broke the GPS post on the Intel Aero. Is there a reference number to buy a replacement? Yuneec sells the full GPS module (http://us.yuneec.com/Aero-Drone-GPS-compass-module Typhoon H GPS Module Set | Yuneec USA ), but I only need a new post.

Also, would you know the inner diameter of the set screw closest to the GPS? I was able to remove the one at the bottom with a 1.5mm hex key, but I'm having some trouble with the one at the top.

Thanks,

Hi Coline,

Thank you for your interest in the Intel Aero drone.

Unfortunately, you will have to replace the whole module:

https://click.intel.com/intel-aero-drone-spare-parts.html

You can replace it with any GPS. as long as it is sending NMEA messages:

https://github.com/intel-aero/meta-intel-aero/issues/303%23issuecomment-361649979 https://github.com/intel-aero/meta-intel-aero/issues/303# issuecomment-361649979

The GPS module is designed by Yuneec. You will have to reach out to them for more information.

Regards,

Alexandra
