Some Questions on how to use the board.

Can I set up the Aero board with a PixHawk Flight Controller? Can I connect the intel aero board with a lipo battery for power? And can someone direct me to some where I can get in depth information on how to connect the Realsense R200 with the board itself.

Hi,

I'd like to share what I found on google.

Can I set up the Aero board with a PixHawk Flight Controller?

I also asked about it. But I didn't get answer.

Can I connect the intel aero board with a lipo battery for power?

They provide it like hub of ports. it seems that lipo should connect with it for power.

See : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uBvm3WSuzH8 Intel Aero Unboxing - YouTube

And can someone direct me to some where I can get in depth information on how to connect the Realsense R200 with the board itself.

If you have Vision Accessory Kit for Intel®Aero, you can connect it to Intel Aero Compute board direct.

It has connector for Vision Accessory Kit.

Thanks.

Hi AymanSaleh1232,

I appreciate your patience. The Pix Hawk Controlller can be used with the Intel Aero, but it requires instructions that will be made available soon. The instructions will explain how to electrically connect any external flight controller using a serial interface through the Aero Console UART and updating the FPGA configuration. Regarding your concern if a lipo battery can be used with the Intel Aero, yes the power cable that is used for supplying the Board comes with a power cable that has a white 10-pin connector on one end and a barrel connector which is powered by the 12V wall power adapter. Finally regarding if there is some tutorial available for connecting the Real Sense camera with the Intel Aero, please refer to the starting guide (https://software.intel.com/sites/default/files/managed/25/d5/Intel-Aero-Compute-Board-Getting-Starte... https://software.intel.com/sites/default/files/managed/25/d5/Intel-Aero-Compute-Board-Getting-Starte... ) and for application usage please refer to this link (https://github.com/intel-aero/meta-intel-aero GitHub - intel-aero/meta-intel-aero: Yocto layer to support Intel Aero platform). If you have any more questions regarding the Intel Aero, please don't hesitate to ask.

I hope you have a nice day.

Best Regards,

-Jose.

Does the intel aero compute board also work with other compute boards such as the Naza M2 V? And do you have any idea when exactly this information and documentation will be released? Thanks.

Hi AymanSaleh1232,

As I mentioned in my previous reply, soon there will be instructions available that will explain how to electrically connect any external flight controller using a serial interface through the Aero Console UART and updating the FPGA configuration. Now regarding the date of release of this documents, I recommend to stay tuned in the official Aero website (https://software.intel.com/en-us/aero/dev-kit Compute Board for Intel®Aero | Intel® Software ). If you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Best Regards,

-Jose.
