I would like to simulate the Ready To Fly(RTF) drone with ROS gazebo simulator like this tutorial.
https://github.com/wilselby/ROS_quadrotor_simulator GitHub - wilselby/ROS_quadrotor_simulator: Quadrotor simulator using ROS, Gazebo, and RVIZ
Main purpose of this challenge is to simulate the status of RealSense R200 and other cameras.
As a next step, I would like to try SLAM and Navigation in the simulator.
To realize it, I need URDF for RTF drone.
Are there any official/un-official URDF models for RTF drone?
Otherwise, is it possible to obtain its mesh data and hardware specs to create URDF?
Thank you for your interest in the Intel Aero Platform. At this time there are not URDF models available. This may be a different approach to simulating the Aero RTF Drone but I though I share it with you.
Thank you very much for your reply.
Okay, I understand that URDF models are not available at this time.
However, can you provide mesh data (.dae or .stl) of the RTF Drone?
If you can provide it, I can create the model by myself.
I think it will be a big contribution for the ROS community.
Take a look at the following link, you can find STLs for the Aero RTF frame as well as other components. Let me know if this is what you are looking for.
