Thank you for posting in our Community. Please be informed that I can only support you in English. I have used a web translation tool to translate this response hence, there may be some inaccurate translations. At this time, Intel® XeSS (XESS) frame generation support depends on both the game’s implementation and the driver. Not all titles or versions of XeSS include frame generation, which may explain why the option is unavailable in Black Myth: Wukong.
To better assist, could you please confirm:
- The exact in-game version/build of Black Myth: Wukong you are running. (Kindly convert to the English language so I can further check it.)
- If the game received any recent patches since your last test?
- Whether you tested with the latest Windows 11 build (since some newer features are optimized there compared to Windows 10)?
I'd like to delve deeper and verify specifics like the graphics models, precise driver versions, and any system errors. Utilizing the Intel SSU tool will enable me to collect detailed information about your system setup, which could aid in identifying the underlying cause of this issue.
Have a nice day!
Best regards,
Von M.

Black Myth Generation Version ID: 18095325
Game update date: April 22, 2025
Computer System: Win10
Black Myth Wukong will support XESS2 frame generation after April 17, 2025. I have confirmed on some community platforms the running effect of XESS2 frame generation when they use A750. However, there are also some A-series graphics card users who are the same as me and cannot correctly apply XESS2 frame generation effects. Some of them are on Win10 system and some are on Win11 system, so I am very confused.

I am using the DisplayPort interface, and the 32.0.101.7028 driver version did not solve this problem. In fact, I have tried more than ten driver versions before this, which took me a lot of time. Unfortunately, the problem did not get resolved, which is why I am here to communicate with you.

Monitor: Philips 252M1RPE
Resolution: 1920 * 1080
After entering the game normally, I didn't have any special settings. At first, I thought it was due to the game, so I spent some time uninstalling and reinstalling the game, but it didn't work.

Hello 门徒,
Thank you for your patience. I tested the issue and confirmed that the frame generation function is enabled when using XeSS (please see the attached file: screen recording). To help resolve the problem, I recommend updating to the latest driver version 32.0.101.7028 or newer, performing a clean installation using DDU to execute a clean insallation and remove any remnants of the old driver and application thoroughly, and reinstalling the game.
If the issue continues after these steps, please let me know so I can investigate further.
Best regards,
Von M.

Hello, I have updated the 32.0.101.7028 driver according to the steps, but the XESS frame insertion still does not take effect correctly. (The criterion for determining non effectiveness is that when the XESS frame insertion function is enabled, the real-time frame rate of the game is the same as when XESS frame insertion is not enabled.) I have watched the demonstration video you sent me, but it did not show the difference in real-time frame rate between enabled and disabled. Successful setting and real-time game effectiveness are two different things, which is the core problem I am facing.

Hello 门徒,
Thank you for sharing this detailed feedback and for clarifying the distinction between a successful setting and real-time in-game effectiveness. I see that if the frame rate remains unchanged, whether XESS frame insertion is enabled or disabled, that points to a deeper issue than just configuration. I’ll need to conduct some additional research on this matter to better understand why the feature isn’t taking effect as expected. Once I have more information, I’ll post an update in this thread so we can move forward with the next steps together.
Best regards,

I hope to find a solution as soon as possible.
In addition, I am still optimistic about Intel's graphics card business. For a long time, my friends and I have been paying attention to the B770 graphics card, but as the waiting time gets longer, some of them have chosen Nvidia and AMD graphics cards. So if there is any latest news, please let me know which part you can inform me of to ensure that the B770 is always on my to-do list.
In fact, due to certain reasons, I often take more than 5 minutes to open this community page and often crash and need to re-enter, but I will still try my best to maintain communication with you.

Hello 门徒,
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and for continuing to stay engaged with us despite the challenges you’re experiencing.
I’d like to share with you this article: What is Intel® Xe Super Sampling (XeSS)?, along with the attached screenshots, which help explain the effect of XeSS in gameplay. Intel® Xe Super Sampling (XeSS) is an advanced graphics upscaling technology designed to give gamers the best of both worlds: higher frame rates and high-quality visuals. At its core, XeSS uses artificial intelligence and deep learning to generate frames that look almost identical to what you’d get if the game were rendered at a much higher native resolution. Instead of forcing your GPU to process every single detail pixel-by-pixel, which can be very demanding, XeSS takes a smarter approach:
-
It reconstructs sub-pixel details by analyzing data from neighboring pixels.
-
It uses information from motion-compensated previous frames to predict and fill in what the next image should look like.
-
All of this is handled by a neural network that has been trained to balance speed and image quality.
The result is gameplay that feels smoother and more responsive, with frame rates that can nearly double in performance (up to 2x boost), while still maintaining sharpness and visual fidelity that’s close to native 4K or higher resolutions. In practice, this means you can play demanding titles at higher settings without sacrificing smoothness, making XeSS particularly beneficial for gamers who want both visual detail and consistent performance.
From our testing, we observed only a slight difference in performance when running at lower settings. However, when the settings are pushed to the highest levels, the FPS improvement with XeSS enabled is much more significant and clearly noticeable in-game. Could you please let me know if you’ve already tried using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU)? If not, I recommend performing a clean driver removal with DDU and then reinstalling the latest Intel driver. Additionally, reinstalling the game itself may also help rule out any conflicts.
Once you’ve had the chance to test this, please share your results so we can continue troubleshooting together.
Best regards,
Von M.

Hello, thank you for teaching me XESS knowledge. I spent some time using DDU again to uninstall and reinstall the latest drivers, as well as uninstall and reinstall games, but the results still left me frustrated. Please tell me what other methods I can use, and I will try them in my free time. Looking forward to hearing back.
