Good evening, I need a precise solution and to speak directly with the Intel Arc driver engineers, because I just got a blue screen error: DRIVER_VERIFIER_DMA_VIOLATION
I didn't overclock the graphics card, and the temperature hovers between 74 and 75 degrees Celsius for 2 hours while playing at Quality Preset Level (Favor quality) with the Vulkan API. Again, this only happens with the Intel Arc A770 Limited Edition graphics card. I had another card to test with, and I tried using a GTX 1060 6GB with no problems. The problem occurs when I install the Intel Arc A770 Limited Edition, and the issue is with the drivers. Please take this seriously, or I will report this as many times as necessary.
1. Rockstar Games Launcher
2. Games: Red Dead Redemtion 2 API: Vulkan
3. Settings: Quality Preset Level (Favor quality)
4. Resolution: 2560x1440p
I've tried it with an older graphics card, the NVIDIA GTX 1060 6GB, and I don't get the DRIVER_VERIFIER_DMA_VIOLATION blue screen error. It only happens with the Intel Arc A770 Limited Edition. I urgently need you to report this problem and seriously request that you release drivers and fix it.
Clean uninstall and clean install using Display Driver Uninstaller in safe mode

Hi addelucas123,
Thanks for posting in the Intel Community Forum. I appreciate you reaching out, and I’m here to help with your concern. To get a clearer picture of what’s going on and provide the best support, could you please share a few more details?
- What’s the exact model, wattage, and approximate age of your power supply?
- Are you using two separate 8-pin PCIe cables for the Arc A770 (not split from a single cable)?
- Have you tried installing the Arc A770 in the primary PCIe x16 slot?
- Could you confirm your BIOS settings for the following:
- Resizable BAR (ReBAR): Enabled or Disabled?
- Above 4G Decoding: Enabled or Disabled?
- Compatibility Support Module (CSM): Enabled or Disabled?
- Is XMP enabled for your RAM?
- Have you run MemTest86 for at least four full passes?
- Is Windows Driver Verifier currently turned on?
- When does the crash happen?
- Only during Red Dead Redemption 2?
- In other Vulkan games?
- In DirectX games or even when idle on the desktop?
- Have you tried uninstalling Intel Arc Control software completely to see if it makes a difference?
- Are you using a stable release of Windows 11, or still on the Insider Preview build?
Let me know when you’ve got those details, and feel free to ask if you have any other questions or need help with anything else.
Best regards,
Kent Russel P.

Good morning, I also need to contact you to ask for your help in obtaining the latest drivers for all Intel components. I'm referring specifically to the chipset, which is crucial to have updated. I have the 2024 driver from last year, which is outdated, even though the Intel driver assistant says it's up to date. I need all Intel components to work, including the chipset—everything—for Windows 11 Pro 64-bit. The chipset model is Intel Z590. I probably don't even have the latest drivers, and if I don't, that's likely the problem.
Asus is going to tell me that I need to contact you at Intel to download all the updated drivers, none of them outdated, or from Microsoft.
Specs PC:
Processor: Intel Core i7-11700K
Motherboard: Asus Strix ROG Z590-F GAMING WIFI
RAM: Two 32GB modules (64GB total) at 3200MHz
Power Supply: Corsair RM850 80 Plus Gold

Hi addelucas123,
Thank you for getting back to us. To help me further investigate your concern, could you please provide answers to the following questions:
- Was the system functioning properly before? When did the issue first occur?
- Could you specify which game you'd like us to focus on, as multiple titles were mentioned?
- How can the issue be reproduced? Please provide detailed steps.
- Have you tried disabling CSM (Compatibility Support Module)? If so, what was the outcome?
Additionally, please note that Intel does not provide chipset drivers directly. These are typically supplied by the motherboard manufacturer. For more information, you may refer to this article: Why Are There No Chipset Drivers Available at Intel® Driver & Support...

Good morning, I'll answer the questions you asked.
1. Was the system functioning properly before? No When did the issue first occur? Yes
2. Could you specify which game you'd like us to focus on, as multiple titles were mentioned? This happens to me with all games, GTA V Enhanced or the older Legacy version, both do it, one with DirectX 11 and the other with DirectX 12, Euro Truck Simulator 2, Indiana Jones and the Grand Circle, Red Dead Redemption 2, Cyberpunk 2077, Alan Wake 2 and more games, some use DirectX 12 and others 11
3. How can the issue be reproduced? Please provide detailed steps. When I play any video game, regardless of whether it's DirectX 11, 12, Vulcan, etc., it produces artifacts. It happens intermittently and randomly, not every single day, but almost every day. I'll send you an image of the artifacts from the internet, because taking a picture of the artifacts is difficult; I don't have time. Then I get a "Driver Verifier DMA Violation" message. In other words, I don't have time to take a picture; it only happens within the game itself, when I start playing.
4. Have you tried disabling CSM (Compatibility Support Module)? If so, what was the outcome? The same problem persists.
Those are questions you asked me. I also contacted ASUS; they told me the following, and that's from you, not them.
ASUS comments as follows: DRIVER_VERIFIER_DMA_VIOLATION is usually related to driver incompatibilities or conflicts between firmware versions and installed drivers.
And I'm sure I did a clean uninstall using DDU, that is, Display Driver Uninstaller in safe mode, then I downloaded the Intel Arc A770 drivers for Windows 11 Pro 64-bit. I've always made sure to use the system I have, Windows 11.
Intel doesn't provide chipset drivers directly. What do you mean, no? You have to have the Intel Management Engine and Intel ME drivers yourself or on their website; it's so you can update them because the current drivers are outdated.
Intel Management Engine -> Versión 2306.4.3.0 2023
Intel Me -> Version 2407.6.1.0 2024
So please do something or contact engineers, Intel drivers or Intel, contact ASUS directly and reach that agreement please. I await your response as soon as possible.
The image I send you is the same as when I play video games
Greetings
DAVID

Hi addelucas123,
Thank you for providing detailed answers to the questions and sharing the information from ASUS as well.
I acknowledge the issues you are experiencing with multiple games producing artifacts and the "Driver Verifier DMA Violation" message. I understand that the problem occurs intermittently across various titles and DirectX versions, and that you have already tried disabling CSM and performed a clean driver uninstall and reinstall.
I will conduct further investigation into this matter, including reviewing driver compatibility and firmware interactions as suggested by ASUS. Meanwhile, if you have any questions or need further clarifications, please feel free to contact me at any time.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
Best regards,

Good morning, I've tried several ways to disable CSM and it's still the same. The best thing to do is leave CSM disabled to get the best performance on modern computers, both Windows 10 and Windows 11.
ASUS recommends CSM disabled, i.e., factory disabled.
