Hello,
I've tried to solve this issue with the ANet team for Guild Wars 2 and haven't been able to resolve the issue. This wasn't an issue until they released their recent expansion. The crashing happens between loading a character to 30 minutes of game play.
My PC specs are as follows:
- CPU - AMD Ryzen 7 5700X
- Mobo - MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk MAX WIFI
- RAM Corsair 16 GB DDR4 (x2) = 32GB
- GPU Intel Arc B580
- PSU Corsair 750Watt
Here are all the trouble shooting steps that have been taken.
- I've made sure that Windows 11 is up to date, including all drivers and BIOS.
- SFC Scan and DISM Restore Health commands.
- Ran the repair for GW2 several times.
- Ran Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU)
- Re-installed the latest Intel Arc Graphics update.
- Uninstalling the game and all files associated with GW2 and reinstalled.
The more recent logs that I sent them was; "The errors logged for the most recent crashes seem to most often be mathematical errors, which are most often caused by either corrupt game files, or by instability with graphics hardware caused by faulty drivers, or by thermal/voltage issues."
I can tell that the files aren't corrupted, the GPU is working fine with any other game and the PSU should be more than sufficient to run the GPU and the game. I have attached all the recent crash logs.

Hello MXPHOENIX,
Thank you for posting in Intel community Forum.
For me to better understand and diagnose the issue further, let me ask you to provide detailed responses to the following questions. This information will help me isolate the problem and determine the most appropriate course of action moving forward.
- Was it working fine before?
- If yes, what was the last change made in the system before the issue started?
- Are you also having the same issue with other games? If yes, please share the tiles of the other games.
- What is your game launcher?
- Can you share a screenshot of the game's Graphics settings?
- For me to review the hardware and the installed drivers. Please help generate the SSU logs of your system. Kindly refer to the link below for the steps:

Hi Mike,
As stated before, the game was working fine up to the expansion being released. There were no changes made to the system before hand. I've had no other issues with any other game. The game launcher is the standard one that ArenaNet uses (picture provided). I have attached all information requested. In my initial post, I had attached a ZIP file of all the crash reports that were sent to ArenaNet.
Thank you.

Hello MXPHOENIX,
Thank you for the update.
Since the issue started with the release of the game's expansion, have you tried to contact the game developer to check if they will release a patch to fix the issue?
For the driver, you may try to install the latest driver using DDU method and check if there will be improvement.

Hi Mike,
Yes, a support ticket was put in with ArenaNet first. After all the troubleshooting and sending several crash logs, they're last response was as follows:
"The errors logged for the most recent crashes seem to most often be mathematical errors, which are most often caused by either corrupt game files, or by instability with graphics hardware caused by faulty drivers, or by thermal/voltage issues."
I know there are no hardware issues as I built the computer in March 2025. I make sure all drivers are up to date. Whenever the drivers for the GPU are released, they are updated, and always make it a clean install (The last update was Nov 12th).
