Is Forza Horizon 3 working on Arc?

Hi. I just bought a B580, and am sad to realise that Forza Horizon 3 refuses to run. It says not a compatible graphics card.

I’m on brand new ARC B580 with drivers from this week, on new install latest update Win 11. (Amd Ryzen 5600T, 16gb ram).

FH3 is from windows store, legit version - no cracks or mods.

Does anyone know if this game has any workarounds, or if compatibility is planned to be added?

There are reports from other players running into the same thing — even some with Intel integrated graphics got the same error. A few people mentioned it might also be connected to newer Windows 11 builds (like 25H2), where the game just refuses to start after an update. Basically, the game’s compatibility checks are ancient and overly picky.

You could try a few things just in case. Make sure your Arc drivers are fully up to date from Intel’s site — not just through Windows Update. Then try running the game as Administrator, or set compatibility mode to Windows 10 or even Windows 10 Anniversary Edition if it’s available. Sometimes that’s enough to trick older Windows Store titles into launching.

Also, make sure the game itself is up to date in the Microsoft Store. FH3 hasn’t been officially supported in years, but the Store might still push some patches. If that doesn’t work, double-check that your monitor is plugged into the Arc GPU (not the motherboard) and that it’s the active display adapter when you launch the game.

There’s not really an official fix from Intel or Playground Games yet. A few people have speculated about registry tweaks or config edits to bypass the GPU vendor check, but nothing confirmed or stable enough to recommend. You might see people on Reddit saying it’s possible, but it’s all hit or miss.

I’ll try running as administrator and setting windows 10 compatibility.
It’s definitely up to date as the GPU drivers (from intel), win 11, and fh3 were all installed in the last few days.
Will update how it goes.
