I am also facing the same issue. Samsung service support is not helping with compatibility list for the monitor.

Samsung Essential Monitor S3 S30GD
1920 x 1080 @ 100 Hz
1 x HDMI 1.4 (300 MHz TMDS)
According to the monitor's manual (pages 40 and 41), it expects VESA's Coordinated Video Timing - Reduced Blanking (CVT-RB) with a pixel clock of 175.5 MHz at a refresh rate of 75 Hz. This apparently works.
The video timing is not specified for 100 Hz, but the pixel clock is listed as 224.25 MHz. CVT-RB would be 235.5 MHz.
So it's obviously a custom video timing issue.
