Today I tested the lastest driver on my B580 and it worked perfectly with OBS and Battlefield 2042, but just hiccups that DXGI error on BF6..thinking about now BF6 doesnt like streaming software at all..the 2042 clip was done on Ultra, and the BF6 clip at Low..Ryzen 7 5700G B580 Steel Legend and 32Gb 3200, no overclocking..

Hello codecxbox1,

Thank you for posting in Intel Communities.

It's great to hear that the B580 is working well with OBS and Battlefield 2042. To help troubleshoot the DXGI error you're experiencing with BF6, could you please confirm a few details:

  1. Is the game running without errors previously and only started getting the DXGI error message after updating the driver to the current/latest version?
  2. Based on the screenshot you shared, the driver version with error is 32.0.101.8136. Can you confirm on this? (You can check this in Device Manager > Display adapters > Intel Arc A580 > Properties > Driver tab).
  3. Are you using the latest Intel Arc Graphics drivers from Intel's website?
  4. Does the error occur only when streaming/recording, or also during regular gameplay without OBS running?
  5. Have you tried running BF6 without any streaming software to see if the issue persists?
  6. Are you running BF6 in full screen, borderless windowed, or windowed mode?
  7. Any other background applications running besides OBS?

Additionally, I would highly appreciate you sharing your system configuration by sharing your SSU log file so I can further check what other possible root cause of the issue.

I look forward to your response.

Best regards,

JeanetteC.

With the latest driver, it is not working. It just pops on the screen the DXGI error windows, regardless if  full screen, borderless windowed, or windowed mode. Im including the latest SSU log.

Hi codecxbox1,

Thanks for getting back to us.

To help us conduct a more thorough investigation, could you please provide the following details:

  1. Where was Battlefield 6 (BF6) downloaded from? Was it installed via Steam, EA App, or another platform?
  2. What are the in-game settings currently being used? Please include details such as resolution, graphics quality (low/medium/high/ultra), V-Sync, DLSS or FSR settings, and any other relevant configurations.
  3. What are your current OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) settings? Kindly share information like output resolution, bitrate, encoder (e.g., x264, NVENC), and any filters or plugins in use.

These details will help us better understand the environment and identify potential causes of the issue.

Best regards,

Kent Russel P.

Hello codecxbox1,

During my investigation, I've identified that your BIOS firmware is three versions behind the current release. I recommend reaching out to your motherboard manufacturer's support team for assistance with updating the firmware and be sure to reset to default BIOS settings after the update.

Additionally, please perform a clean installation of the latest driver version 32.0.101.8247 (WHQL Certified) using DDU in safe mode.

Please let me know the results after completing these steps.

Best regards,

Hello codecxbox1,

Thanks for the update. I see that updating your BIOS and Arc drivers didn't fix the crashing issue.

Let's try reinstalling both the game and OBS. This should clear any corrupted files that might be causing the problem.

Please let me know how it goes after reinstalling, and we'll keep working on this.

Hello codecxbox1,

Thank you for the update. Since reinstalling both OBS and BF6 following the BIOS update didn't resolve the issue, I'll investigate this matter further and get back to you as soon as I can.

Hello codecxbox1,

I have successfully reproduced the Battlefield 2042 issue and will continue investigating. An update will be provided once available.

As we can only handle one game per thread, please create a new thread for the Battlefield 6 issue to receive proper support.

Hello codecxbox1,

I'm continuing to investigate this issue and would like to clarify a few details. I'd like to understand whether the DXGI error happens when you actively start streaming or recording in OBS, or if it occurs simply by having OBS open in the background without any active streaming or recording?
