Hi everyone! After buying it, I ran into performance issues and constant crashes in my favorite game, Path of Exile.
On Vulkan, you can only play for a few seconds on maps—almost immediately there's an error and the game closes without any error message, it just shuts down.
On DX12, performance in the city immediately drops by 30-40 percent, crashes are less frequent, but it still constantly and randomly kicks me out, mostly during location loading. I don’t even want to talk about DX11, the performance there is at the level of my old GTS 450...
My configuration is as follows:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
GPU: ASRock Arc B580 Challenger 12GB OC
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB Kit, DDR4-3600
SSD: fanxiang 512GB NVMe SSD, PCIe Gen3, 3200MB/s
Win 11 ver. 25H2
The latest version of the driver is installed (it is also worth noting that it is impossible to install the drivers without getting 'Error 1')
For a clear example, I will add two gameplay videos. I also want to note the unpleasant flickering of the monitor in busy scenes, as if the screen turns off for a millisecond.
1. https://youtu.be/x4PPYGSLREc?si=2SyyCWclnI1DAPaX In the first video, a simple map is running, which, in theory, should give at least 100 FPS (I would be fine with 60).
2. https://youtu.be/LhcuEK7-2XY?si=cmGkvnuAJOpUyGxt In the second video, a classic high-level map is running, not heavy and not light in terms of load. But here, there are already steady 5-10 FPS in groups of monsters.
I would also like to note the large number of performance complaints on the game's own forum; I can provide links upon request.
I would be very grateful for a response, thank you

Hi afsdsome,
Thank you for testing with driver version 8250 and providing the updated CapFrameX data from Cyberpunk 2077. I understand how frustrating it must be that the crashes are still occurring every 5 minutes despite the driver update.
The consistent crash timing across different games suggests we need to look deeper into the configuration and settings that might be contributing to this stability issue.
Could you please provide the exact game settings you're using in Cyberpunk 2077?
This information will help me analyze whether certain settings combinations might be triggering the stability issues you're experiencing with your Arc B580.
Best regards,
Dean R.

Hi, the problem was solved by selling the graphics card to the next unlucky person, the topic can be closed.

Hi afsdsome,
I understand your decision to sell the graphics card, and I'm sorry we weren't able to resolve the stability issues you were experiencing with your Arc B580. I know how challenging it can be when hardware doesn't perform as expected, especially when crashes occur consistently across multiple games.
If you ever decide to try Intel Arc graphics again in the future or if there's anything else I can help you with, please don't hesitate to reach out for support.
Thank you for working with us on this matter.
Best regards,
Dean R.

Hello Intel Graphics Team,
I would like to report a reproducible crash issue when running Path of Exile on an Intel Arc B580 GPU.
System Information:
- GPU: Intel Arc B580
- Driver Version: 32.0.101.6790
- igc64.dll Version: 32.0.101.6790
- OS: Windows 11 64-bit
Crash Description:
PathOfExile.exe crashes randomly during gameplay, usually during heavy shader compilation scenarios such as:
- Entering a new map or area
- High particle effects during combat
- Scene transitions
Windows Event Viewer reports the following:
Faulting application name: PathOfExile.exe
Faulting module name: igc64.dll
Exception code: 0xc0000005 (Access Violation)
Fault offset: 0x000000000106e574
Faulting module path:
C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\iigd_dch_d.inf_amd64_c11a9496e9261698\igc64.dll
Additional Notes:
- The crash occurs when using Vulkan renderer.
- Switching to DirectX 12 significantly reduces or eliminates the crash.
- The issue persists after a clean driver installation.
- Clearing shader cache temporarily helps but does not fully resolve the issue.
Suggestion / Feedback:
It appears that igc64.dll may encounter invalid memory access during intensive shader compilation in Vulkan workloads for Path of Exile .
This may be related to shader cache handling or IGC compiler edge cases.
I would appreciate if the driver team could investigate shader compilation stability for this title on Intel Arc GPUs.
Best regards
