 I download P3.8.1 on RHEL7.1, Gcc 8.1.0 and Icc 9.1.0, but couldn't see "Segmentation fault" as you reported.

I have attached my Makefile (Makefile.icc after executed ./configure, Makefile.opt after  ./configure --enable-optimizations)

I'm a Python core developer and I just ran into this this issue with "icc (ICC) 19.1.1.217 20200306".

Like gcc, this particular icc version needs "-fwrapv" in the CFLAGS, presumably because it optimizes more aggressively.

This works:

   ./configure CC=icc AR=xiar CFLAGS="-fwrapv"

We are trying to get rid of the need for this option, but historically Python has relied on it.  The best course of

action is to add -fwrapv automatically:
