Due the deprecation notice for the classic compiler ,I have tried to switch to the icx compiler.
Most of the project are working, but at one I got permanent the following error

1>icx: : error : clang frontend command failed due to signal (use -v to see invocation)
1>Intel(R) oneAPI DPC++/C++ Compiler 2022.2.0 (2022.2.0.20220730)

Don't know where to put the bugreport, so I have doing this here. As attachment the proprocessed sources as requiered from the compiler output.

Kind regards
Steffen

- Windows 10 21H2 Build 19044.2075

- Visual Studio 2022 Version 17.3.5

- Build the debug version of the library (release build not tested), only at this library icx is crashing, other libraries and dll's from the same main project are not affectet

crash reproducer in the attachment in the first message.

Kind regards

Steffen

Hi,

Thanks for your patience.

The backend crash is unexpected, but a compile fail is expected for the source code

Please change the source code by moving alloca() into WinEH blocks.

Please refer to the below link for more details:

https://github.com/llvm/llvm-project/issues/60914

Thanks & Regards,

Noorjahan.

I have changed the functions with alloca() some month ago, so the error doesn't occur longer .

Issue can closed.

Regards Steffen
