Why is the MacOS version of the Intel C++ compilerless than38% of the student price for the Win and Lin versions?
Is it being subsidized by Apple? Is it a more competitive market?

The student price is for the suite.
If you count the products included in each suite, it's pretty clear. The suite for Linux includes 9 products, 10 products for Windows, but only 5 for MacOS.
