i want to know anyone else have the same problem.
Some time before I could download anything from https://premier.intel.com using my account, however now I cannot download large files such as Intel C++ compiler for Linux or Windows. It stops when my browser (any of mozilla seamonkey/firefox/opera) has downloaded 2-10mb. I recommend you all to make your account on https://premier.intel.com to download the latest versions. However make sure you logout this forum before login to premier account, otherwise you will get "access denied" error probably due to cookie problem.
I tried with Gentoo and Fedora Core 3, and both failed. HOWEVER, if I try to download on Windows with mozilla, I can download (probably) anything.....but since Linux is my primary OS, I want to download on Linux.....
I reported it to premier support, but I haven't got any response yet.
Thanks in advance.
EDIT:
I found a strange phenomenon.
This problem happens only on my 2nd Linux behind my Linux gateway. My LAN configuration is as follows:
Internet
|
Linux gateway #1 --------- main Linux #2 (and vmware)
|
Windows box
This problem happens on my main Linux #2 box, but on Linux gateway #1 it doesn't happen. on Linux gateway #1, I use IP masquerading/nat as usual. And on my main Linux #2 box I can download anything using http/ftp, but not from premier support using https.....what's the problem? And that, on another Windows virtual box running on vmware in my main Linux #2 I can download from premier support using https!! Why can Windows in vmware on Linux #2 download from premier support while Linux #2 cannot?

I've had pretty much the same experience as yours.
I am unable to completely download the compiler updates on my Fedora Core 4 machine. I tried it in Firefox, Mozilla and Konqueror and the results are the same: the download stalls with only a few megabytes of data received.
This FC4 machine is behind a firewall/gateway (iptables, on CentOS v4.1). I haven't had this problem downloading from any other site. I can successfully download the updates on a Windows machine behind the same firewall/gateway.
FYI.

Thanks...it's not only my problem. I also use iptables as usual... My temporary (?) fix is install firefox on the gateway Linux box and use firefox on my main box behind the gateway using ssh, though I don't think it's smart. I wonder why this happens, and why Windows doesn't suffer even with the same kind of browser (mozilla).
