Visual Studio 2013 with Parallel Studio XE2016

Does anyone know if these two versions are compatible?

I've just installed evaluation copies of Visual Studio Professional 2013 Upadate 5 on a Windows 7 Enterprise edition OS (64-bit), along with Intel Parallel Studio XE 2016 Professional Edition for C++. I've run the psexevars intel64 script and set up a simple console project in Visual studio, and set it for x64. However, I can't get any hint in Visual Studio that the intel compiler is installed. I've checked the Intel license files and these indicate that my trial is running. do I need to downgrade to an older version of Parallel studio?

Thanks

Richard

Do you see anything about "Intel C++ Compiler" under VS's "About" dialog?

also see this known issue - https://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/bad-system-datetime-can-cause-microsoft-visual-studio-ide-menu-items-to-not-appear
