I'm trying to boot from external media and am unable to do so, apart from using one particular program - Rescatux. Everyone other OS - Debian, ArchLinux, Ubuntu, Mint will appear on the Boot Menu, but when selected does not get launched - the system just boots Windows.
What else is supposed to boot a Compute Stick?

What is the model number of your stick? What external media are you trying to boot?

I'm not sure of the model number but it's a 32GB/2GB model using an Intel Atom Z3735F @ 1.33GHz.
I've tried a USB stick, and various SDHC cards with various OSes. Most show up in the Boot Menu, but only one - Rescatux is able to boot.
Others which I've tried include ArchLinux, Debian, Mint, Ubuntu. I believe that it is the version of EFI on those systems which is preventing booting, but I don't know how to prove it.

Must have the model number. There are Stick look-alikes out there.
Look in system properties, or the bios. The model number is available, for sure.

If it doesn't have the label on the back of the unit then it is not an Intel Compute Stick. There were *many* clones of the original FC Compute Stick produced by other ODMs/OEMs.
