We are finding that a new OOTB Compute Stick STCK1A8LFC with Ubuntu 14.0.4. After applying the recommended patches and updates is breaking the wireless adapter. The adapter is no longer visible and returns nothing during and lspci / wpa commands. No modification or changes to the devices which are using the OOTB update and patch settings.
Any help would be appreciated.

One solution is to wipe the STCK1A8LFC clean and do a fresh install of Xubuntu or Lubuntu 19.10, all devices are working well with 19.10, installation instructions are here.
