Thank You so much. I have successfully recovered my Compute stick with your image and instructions. This is awesome. I wonder why Intel don't offer this advice as the top search result?
I used the Intel WIndows 10 upgrade instructions and now have a WIndows 10 compute stick. It works great too! 1080p Youtube video at 1920x1080 resolution with no stutter. I'm stoked.

Hello all,
msrobota, thank you for sharing this information.
Suraboi, have you tried following this method http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/stck1a32wfc/sb/CS-035619.htm Intel® Compute Stick STCK1A32WFC — Windows* Logon Screen Appears the First Time Intel® Compute Stick Starts in order to repair it? Make sure that the USB is bootable so it can be properly recognized by the Intel® Compute Stick.
Regards,
Amy.

Hi Amy, I've tried msrobota solution and it worked for mi ICS with the only exception that Windows is not activated so it doesn't let me update to Windows 10. My ICS came with Windows 10 out of the box (bought it in october) but since the last update (november), it stopped working and recovery doesn't work neither.
So the question is, is there anything I can do about it? Cause I don't have a serial number for Windows and it's not anywhere in the box.
I followed the steps just as msrobota decribe and it worked but Windows isn't activated.
Excuse my english pleace.
Thanks!

I can't reset nor refresh my ICS to factory defaults coz my recovery partition is lost after upgrading to Windows 10. I tried msrobota resetting instruction but to no avail. I guess i need to send my ICS to intel service centre for resetting.
