How to set fan speed?

Jump to solution

My https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/86612/Intel-Compute-Stick-STCK1A32WFC STCK1A32WFC has the fan running at full speed all the time, even when the system is shutdown. I have to unplug the micro-usb cable every time.

I updated the bios to the latest https://downloadcenter.intel.com/downloads/eula/25191/BIOS-Update-FCBYT10H-86A-?httpDown=https://dow... FC0025.BIO. But it does not help.

Thanks a lot for any information.

Thanks a lot. I will contact newegg for the replacement then.

One more question just for curiosity.

I installed speedfan to check CPU temperature. Even with the full speed fan, CPU temperature is ~50C idle and ~60C during normal web browsing. Is it normal? Or the software is not working properly on this platform.

That temperature is fine, 50C idle and 60C during normal web browsing, basically if you are experiencing high temperature your system will shutdown automatically or you will get a pop up message saying that the system needs to turn off because the temperature is too high.
