Good afternoon all!
I need to identify a port.
Port: 14-Pin (left)
Cable: Ribbon ("Portron MV41GXFA_FPCB_R04 D1546" front "PFBR03" back)
Device: Fingerprint Reader (Synaptics WBDI)
Location: on Intel(R) Serial IO SPI Controller (Windows 10 Device Manager)
System: Intel x5-z8500 Pocket PC (InFocus Kangaroo PC.)
Anywhere to learn about this SPI interface? Any other devices it's known to interface with?
Thank you ever so much!
James

Hi Simconsole.net,
It is important to mention that we sell our Intel chipsets and processors to third party manufacturers and they design their own computers with their own features, settings and capabilities. For that reason the best you can do is ask for the support with the manufacturer of your product here:

This Kangaroo* PC product belongs to InFocus is not manufacture by Intel®.
Intel® already release the new compute sticks with core m3 and m5:

Thank you. I was wondering if there was a spec. sheet on that SPI controller anywhere, since it seemed to belong to the Intel Atom. (SPI should be anyway, but maybe this particular controller is a custom feature?) I can try to contact InFocus as well.
I have read about those new compute sticks, and that is very exciting. I still like the Atom CPU for my purposes at this time.

Hi Simconsole.net,
I would suggest you to contact the manufacturer of your product, in order to get the information about this controller. http://www.infocus.com/support/ http://www.infocus.com/support/
Also according to what you mentioned, we have this Intel® Compute Stick with Atom processors.
