A couple of suggestions:
- Run the Disk Cleanup app. Choose to include system files in cleanup. Once dialog is presented, click on More Options tab. Click on the Clean up... button for System Restore and Shadow Copies. Once this is complete, click on the Disk Cleanup tab. Place a check-mark in every box presented in the dialog window. Once done, click on the Ok button to start the process. The tool will automatically close once it is complete. This can sometimes take quite a while to run.
- Move all of the apps that you can to your extra storage (added flash card). Run the Apps & Features app. (right-click on the Windows Start button and select Apps and Features). Click on each entry in the list (yea, I know, there are probably lots of them). If a Move button is provided and is highlighted, click on it and you can then choose to move the app. to your flash card.
- Go into Settings and select System and then Storage and then click on Change where new content is saved. For each category, you can change the setting to indicate that new content is saved to the flash card.
Hope this helps,

Thanks for that. Seems to have helped. I think step 1 made quite a difference. None of my apps would let me move them. Most of them all windows related except
for McAfee.

Yea, the first step is the big one.
What you are doing in the second step is applicable to modern apps only (i.e. apps you downloaded from the MS app store) and is only going to make a significant difference if you use a lot of them.
