My compute stick won't turn on.

I have an old intel compute stick and it won't turn on period, i know it's not the power cord i'm using so i'm not sure what the issue with the stick is, nothing turns on and the power box(it has an led) keeps flickering on and off when the compute stick is plugged in. what does this mean and can i fix the problem?

This flickering typically means that the ICS is not receiving sufficient power. Either the supply is not providing enough power or the power is being inconsistently supplied. Get a new brick (ones that provide the necessary 2A are cheap) and replace this USB cable regardless.
