I have a Intel Compute Stick (stk1aw32sc) that likes to do periodic black screens for 2 seconds at a time.
It gets worse when I play a Microsoft game that has daily challenges.
Is there any way to solve this issue?

Please attach to this thread the TXT file the Intel® System Support Utility will generate: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility
Steps to save the report:
- Run the utility.
- Click on "Scan" to get the scanned system.
- Once the scan is complete click on "next".
- Use the "save" option, save the report to your desktop.
- To attach a file, you must click the "Attach" option on the bottom right-hand corner of the response box.
What is the model of the display and type of video connection? (if there is any video cable)
Regards,

The TV is a Sony KDL-40EX600 and the Compute stick is connected by a 1 meter HDMI cable.
Thank you for helping me out.
I greatly appreciate it.

Actually, my GF MAY have figured out the problem.
We are running the compute stick using a power board with 3.2 Amp output USB.
If she is correct that is not enough power to run it?

DarkSamus: We can try a BIOS update on the stick to the latest version 0040:
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000006039/mini-pcs/intel-compute-sticks.html
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27613/Compute-Stick-BIOS-Update-SCCHTAX5-86A-?product=91065
Also we can try to re-install the chipset driver:
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25730/System-on-a-Chip-SoC-Driver-Package-for-STK1AW32SC?product=91065
As well as the graphics driver:
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26182/Intel-HD-Graphics-Driver-for-STK1AW32SC?product=91065
In regard to your question, if you are referring to the power supply, based on the Technical Product Specifications of the stick, it uses a 5V 3A AC to DC power adapter so it should be enough, but we recommend to use the power supply that came with the stick, page 19:
https://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/boardsandkits/computestick/STK1AW32SC_STK1A32SC_TechProdSpec.pdf
If you are not referring to the power supply, please provide the model of the power board.
Also, do you have the option to test a different HDMI cable?
Do you have the chance to use a different monitor/TV?
Regards,
Intel

Completed all the above steps, problem is still there but not as severe.
I don't have another TV or HDMI cable to test with.
Honestly though, I am happy and will see what I can do to get an official power supply for my Compute Stick.
