I just got the Intel Compute Stick STCK1A32WFC with Windows 8.1. I was prompted to upgrade to Windows 10 and followed instructions. As space was less on C drive, I put in a 32GB SD card and the installation progressed very quickly until the stick reboot and I got this error:
I click OK and it comes back to the same prompt.
Next I reboot and did F8 (recovery) but it says I do not have a recovery disk - which I did not create.
So I am now stuck. How do I overcome this error?
Take a USB stick, create a Windows10 setup with the MS Windows10 Media Creation Tool and do the setup from scratch.
If you install Windows® 10 from scratch will voids the Intel® Compute Stick warranty http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/sb/CS-035602.htm http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/sb/CS-035602.htm
Well. it seems we rent a stick.
For 129 euro's there is no solution to solve a problem for Windows 10 crap.
Or is it so that this stick does not work with windows 10 @ all ?
Couse next thing after contact is .. your stick haves some problems .. bring it back because its NOT good.
Even a Windows 10 stick seems to be an old Yabba Yabba stick that has a wrong update etc.
Give a nice image and 100% support, we pay for a complete system !
If Intel cant handle the issues then stop selling this mini PC.
I would like to recommend you to follow the steps in here to perform the Windows 10* upgrade in your Intel® Compute Stick.
