After trying to upgrade to Windows10 version 1511, 10586, it froze while updating, so had to turn off and turn back on my ICS, then when re-started got the option of resetting the pc, so chose to do this, went through all the % till it reached 95% then it got stuck, thought I would be patient and left it for 12 hours with it still at 95%, after 24 hours leaving it to its own device, had to turn it off and tried again, once again it gets to 95% and then the little circle goes around and around, but nothing else happens, its now been stuck at 95% for 4 hours. Any suggestions what to do, as only had this for a couple of weeks and very dissapointed

If you can, can you remove your SD card and try the process again. Good luck.

The problem is not with the SDcard even though it's a known issue with Build 10586. I'm pretty sure I've taken out the SDcard from the ICS during updating.
I've also successfully update 6 other machines including a tablet with SDcard with no issues. At this point, I'm suspecting a UEFI issue. Incidentally the ICS has a built-in UEFI Shell based on some sort of *nix.

Yes I had already tried that as it was suggested on http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/category/bandk/stck1a32wfc/instl_confg http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/category/bandk/stck1a32wfc/instl_confg in section http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/stck1a32wfc/sb/CS-035618.htm Intel® Compute Stick STCK1A32WFC — Error: There Was a Problem Refreshing or Resetting Your PC in this they say...
If this problem occurs even when there is no SD card inserted, replace the Intel Compute Stick, either:
- At your place of purchase, or
- By submitting a service request to https://servicerequestmgmt.intel.com/webticketui/emailpage.aspx?lang=en-us Intel customer support.
This applies to:

Hello all,
I tried to upgrade to Windows 10 and I had the same problem as Stressed is saying it got stuck in 95% and automatically recover to Windows 8.1, then before continue trying to upgrade I made sure I had Windows 8.1 up to date even the optional updates and I updated the BIOS to the latest version and it went through with no problems, now I have Windows 10 in ICS.
I did the upgrade following the steps here:
