ideas to prevent and solve fail eMMc internal disk

i have twelve Intel Compute Siticks, yes 12 units. It are 24/365 working in very low tasks but permanent for a meteorological project in remote sites.

Recently became a casual fail on two units, after many ideas can boot in USB Win8.1 liveUSB and in prompt window option see that O.S. volume partition detect as RAW, its a bad notice of probably failed disk. Unable to use repair utilities for RAW NTFS Operating System partition try to boot on Win8.1 liveUSB but cant boot, only start repair options. Note that Win8.1 USB live are too slow, hours and hours for only start repair menu and try to prompt window.

Try to Boot in UBUNTU and it works too better, can boot fast and go to command line to use TESTDISK and it works but unable to repair or fix.

I want 3 things:

First recover info of one Application Folder. This folder are in S.O. boot partition that appear as RAW.

Second try reacondition the units with a externat disk, as microSD disk, or USB disk for instal Win8.1 or Win10 and can automatic boot from external units.

Three, prevent this eMMc internal disk failure in the rest of ten units and future units will buy.

Hello EMart40,

Thank you for posting on the Intel ® communities.

Before we can look into this, please provide me with the model of Intel ® Compute Sticks that failed so I can have more information.

Hello EMart40,

Thank you for your response.

Have you checked in the BIOS of the Intel ® Compute Sticks to see if the disk is shown there?

If not, please proceed to do so, we do not have a way to recover the data from a failed drive so, if needed I would recommend checking third-party tools to recover the data or data recovery services.
