What motherboard/system do you have? How is the processor graphics exposed? HDMI? DisplayPort (DP)? VGA? DVI?

thanks for replying. its a work computer. left work for today. do i have to look at actual motherboard to see what it is, or is it in system properties? its got blue vga port, and i think 4 display outputs. will look tomorrow to make sure. i know i had one monitor in vga port, 2 in digital output ports with hdmi converters. the monitor plugged into vga port stayed on. could get one or other monitor to work both plugged into separate display ports , but not both at same time.

Dell, hhmmm, not a good sign. Your only option is to try using a MST Hub device or MST-based daisy-chaining to connect multiple monitors to a single DisplayPort output. As was reported, one person tried this but it didn't work for them. The results may be different for you - or not, I cannot tell.

If you want link to MST Hub device you could try, I can provide one...
