Adding SATA 3 controller card to Intel® Desktop Board D915PGN

I want to connect my SATA3 SSD to Intel D915PGN motherboard.

This motherboard only has SATA 1 with no AHCI support, which is highly recommended for using an SSD, therefore I'd like to add PCI-e to SATA 3 controller like http://www.amazon.com/Syba-2-Port-SATA3-Controller-SY-PEX40032/dp/B0046XSBBC/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=... this one .

This controller has its own chipset and BIOS that would upgrade my old motherboard with capabilities of SATA 3, AHCI and RAID.

Will my motherboard recognise this card and let me boot from an ssd attached to this card?

I appreciate your input and help. Thank you.

According to Sybausa, the SY-PEX40032 is not bootable.

The transfer speed of a PCI-Express 1.x slot will limit most benefits of using a SATA 3 drive.

The PCIe 2.0 standard doubles the transfer rate compared with PCIe 1.0 to 5 GT/s and the per-lane throughput rises from 250 MB/s to 500 MB/s.

Nails, how do you know that SY-PEX40032 is not bootable?

Could you please give me an example of bootable SATA controller with AHCI support that would work on Intel D915PGN motherboard?
