BIOS for D510MO

Hallo, I have a problem to find the newest BIOS for D510MO.

In the download center I can read this:

BIOS Update [MOPNV10J.86A] 8/3/2010 0311 Latest

BIOS Update [MOPNV10N.86A] 3/31/2011 0516 Previously released

The BIOS with the higher version-number (0516 vs. 0311 resp. MOPNV10N vs. MOPNV10J) the newer date (3/31/201 vs 8/3/2010) is not the latest und the BIOS version with lower numbers/older date ist the latest?

Hi Fossybear,

I am sorry you are having problems to get the latest BIOS update for that motherboard but let me help you.

Based on the research I have done, here you can download the latest version for that motherboard:

Thank you,

but https://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&ProductFamily=Desktop+Boards&ProductLine... https://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&ProductFamily=Desktop+Boards&ProductLine... shows still version 0311 as "latest", see also https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=19278&lang=eng&ProdId=3196 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=19278&lang=eng&ProdId=3196

0542 is "latest" now besides version 0542, this was changed. Thanks.

But I think it would be great, if version 0311 becomes "(Previously released)", like other versions, which are newer than 0311.

0311 is also on the top of the list, remarked as "latest".

I am sorry but I am losing your track here. The latest version we have is the 0542 so my question is, are you having problems installing version 0542?

They changed the Bios Format. So you first need to update to the 0400 and then to 0542

Link to the 0400:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=19453 Intel® Download Center

Link to the 0542:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=20288 Intel® Download Center

Important:

- BIOS version 0311 (MOPNV10J.86A.0311.2010.0802.2346) is the final "10J" BIOS version for D510MO boards. All subsequent BIOS versions will be "10N" BIOS.

- BIOS version 0400 (MOPNV10N.86A.0400.2010.0919.1014) is the transition BIOS for updates from 10J to 10N. To update from 10J BIOS to 10N BIOS, update to version 0400 first. Then update from 0400 to any other subsequent 10N BIOS if needed.

- BIOS version 0400 (updating from 10J to 10N) is supported by any of these BIOS update methods:

iFflash2 Update

Express BIOS Update

F7 Flash Update

Recovery Update

- Updates from any previous "10N" BIOS to version 0400 will fail.

Hi. I'd need these two bios files (0400 and 0542) in .bio format for flash update. Anyone has these to share with me / anywhere I could find them? Intel removed these files from their server and I'm having troubles finding a reliable source.

This thread is from 2014, six years ago. You should have started a new thread.

This board is from 2010, and has long since been discontinued and unsupported:

Unless some forum member has them, you are out of luck. You may want to try some site like softpedia.com,

Hi.

I'm well aware that both the topic and the board are old. But as my problem is not that urgent I didn't want to start a new topic as this came up on a Google search. I was also able to find an other topic where someone told he has the 0400.bio -file. I hope that I can get it from him and then focus on finding the other file somewhere. So if anyone has these files please contact me. Thanks! -J

In case someone else needs this info... I was able to get the files from a customer at an other topic: https://forums.intel.com/s/question/0D50P00004RscXiSAJ/looking-for-bios-update-mopnv10n86a0400201010...
