Bios File

Jump to solution
Hello,

I have a fanless mini pc:
Model: i5-7200u 64bit
Bios Vendor: American Megatrends
Core Version: 5.12
Compliancy: UEFI 2.5; PI 1.4
Project Version GKBL1 1.04 x64
Built Date: 07/19/2017  21:38:43
Bios Version 2.18.1263

The pc started to crash randomly.
I reinstalled a fresh copy of win10, updated all the drivers but it looks like a Bios problem.
I'm looking for the original firmware file to flash it or an updated file if there is.

I couldn't find it on intel site, google, Hystou (the manufacturer) or any other way.

Please help me solve this issue.
Thanks a lot

The bios is AMI

The mainboard is intel

Ami advise you to get the bios file from the mainboard manufacturer

It's a dead end.

Thanks a lot for your help

The only  people that can help you with the bios is the manufacturer of the PC, Hystou .

Thanks AlHill,

I'm not sure that Hystou is the board manufacturer.

From where did you find "Hystou "?

Post a photo of the information printed on this mini PC.

Hi,

You can see here all the pc specs

http://support.hystou.com/fanless-mini-pc-fmp03b-i5-7200u-cpu-z-testing/

It looks like intel is the manufacturer of the mainboard

Anyway, Hystou doesn't respond to emails or on the online chat

That's how it looks:

This is not an intel product that I can tell, especially by looking at the bios version.  Contact Hystou.  There is no bios available from Intel for non-intel products.

Anything can be stuffed into those fields, and many manufacturers of these devices want to make the user believe they have an Intel product.  CPU-Z only reports what it sees.

Just one more thing...  Boot into the bios, and take a picture of the bios home screen where it displays the bios information (not the ami information).  That should end this once and for all.

Intel produced a sample board design called SkyBay. This was never an Intel product, however; other manufacturers used the design to product their own boards. Those manufacturers are responsible for the BIOS; there are no updates from Intel.

Bottom line, you need to contact Hystou to see if they have any BIOS updates.
