Bios : error setting password / Hard Disk Drive !

Hello,

I replaced my 520 series ssd with the new series 540s .

I can't activate the "Hard Disk Drive Password" in the bios.

So I updated the last Bios ( version 72 sept 2017 / Motherboard: DQ77MK )

I updated too the last firmware of the ssd with intel SSD Toolbox !

As you can see all my computer is Intel !

Somebody have a clue why I can not activate the HD password prompt ?

( with my old ssd there was ok )

Best regards, Vanilla.

I localise the "bug" !

The COLD boot has solved my trouble.Today I tried to set my password immediately after turn on my pc.

For you I test a hot boot and make a modification on my password and as you can see on the screenshot ( file attach ) there is a message error ...

In all case thank you very much for your attention ! If you need more information I give it with pleasure.

Have a nice day junior M.

Hi vanill4,

Thank you for the reply.

We recommend you to try changing the password as you did before with the cold boot.

In case you have the same situation we recommend you to contact the /community/tech/desktop Desktop Boards Support Community because it seems that this could be an issue related to the BIOS and not the SSD.

Please let us know if you want us to move the discussion to their support community.

Regards,

Junior M.

Yes you can move the discussion to the "Desktop Board" just for information.
