Yea, this board is very old and risk of component failures increases with age.
Checking for possibility of BIOS corruption instead of component failure, my suggestion would be to: (1) Clear CMOS and (2) Update to latest BIOS using Recovery Method. The processes for accomplishing these are documented here:
