Hi,
Last Week I bought a new Intel Board (DH87RL). Installing Windows 7 (32-bit) worked just fine and I was able
to work with it the whole weekend (including updating and rebooting several times).
Now, when powering on the Machine at the Morning, the screen stays black. After powering the Machine off and on again, I get the following Message displayed:
BIOS has detected unsuccessful POST attempt(s).
Possible causes include recent changes to BIOS
Performance Options or recent hardware change.
Press 'Y' to enter Setup or 'N' to cancel and attempt
to boot with previous settings.
Since I didn't change anything, I press "N" and the System starts up like normal.
Yesterday I installed BIOS Version 0324 (found here: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&ProdId=3604&DwnldID=23597&ProductFamily=Desk... https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&ProdId=3604&DwnldID=23597&ProductFamily=Desk...), but after powering on my computer this morning, the screen was black again...
Can anyone tell me what this might cause and how to get rid of this?
Thanks,
Martin

Wish I could tell you what caused it and how to get rid of it. This reply is to let you know others have the same issue. /message/224599# 224599 https://communities.intel.com/message/224599# 224599 Regards. Peter

Hi Martin, It is a common problem.
There doesn't seem to be a definitive fix yet as Intel can't reproduce the problem.
regards,
Liz
